Can you put a hot tub outside?

As for the outdoor hot tub option, you can install a hot tub in an open space or place it in ground. Depending on your outdoor setup, you might even be able to build it on your patio or deck, if you have the proper foundation to support it. Proper ventilation is another major aspect to consider.

Do I need a concrete slab for a hot tub?

A hot tub requires a stable surface — whether it's a concrete slab, reinforced deck, or firmly compacted soil with crushed gravel. There's also the option to have the hot tub installed in the ground but that still requires a concrete vault.

How many years does an outdoor hot tub last?

A hot tub can last anywhere from 5-20 years or more. Cheaper hot tubs made with lower quality materials won't last long. If those hot tubs are not well maintained, they may not last more than 5 years. Quality hot tubs that receive excellent care can be enjoyed for as long as 20 or more years.

How often do you have to change hot tub water?

We recommend customers to change their hot tub water every 3 to 4 months. The reason we recommend this is that as your continue to add more chlorine, it will start to dissolve slower and slower until the chlorine doesn't dissolve in your hot tub anymore.
